About Us

In 1963, Jim Pohlman and his brother-in-law, John Smith, started J & J Tire. They operated up to 22 stores and were headquartered in Hamilton, Ohio. Jim’s five sons were all involved with the company. J & J eventually sold, and Jim opened two Goodyear locations in Hamilton. One still remains and is run by Alan Pohlman.

In 1990, Jeff Pohlman opened his first of five stores, Jeff Pohlman Tire & Auto Service. Jeff’s stores were headquartered in Hamilton for 28 years. He sold his locations and opened Pohlman Lanes in Hamilton.

Eric Pohlman went out on his own and opened Eric’s Auto Service in 1996. He operated his store for 22 years before selling it to his nephew, Ryan Pohlman.
